Zefki means carousal, a merry meeting with wine and friends. Joseph and Mary wanted to carry this mood when they took over the family business ten years ago. They created the Zefki, a traditional tavern in one of the most picturesque streets of Chora that you will meet when going up the old road leading to the church of Virgin Mary, close to the old marble fountain.
Island style decoration in harmony with the surroundings. Responsible for the homely cuisine is Joseph and Maria’s mom, an experienced cook who emphasizes on the local products. The pork in a pot with dried tomatoes and capers, the Zefki salad, the schnitzel with cheese and the Tinian cheese with honey and sesame seeds, the mushrooms fricassee and the eggplant salad are some of the standard values.
The music, mainly Greek, is carefully selected. If you are lucky enough, you may participate in one of the live music nights often organized on weekends. The Zefki is open all year round and is awaiting for you!
